Kano Pillars Off To Morocco To Play Moghreb Athletic Tetouan
Nigerian champions Kano Pillars will fly out of the country on Tuesday night on their way to the postponed CAF Champions League first round, first leg date with Moghreb Athletic Tetouan of Morocco.
A 36-man delegation to be led by former NFF President Ibrahim Galadima will travel aboard an Egypt Air flight from Kano to Cairo, where they will connect another flight to Casablanca, before a midnight flight from Casablanca to Tetouan on Wednesday.
The match is scheduled for Saturday, March 21.
The Confederation of African Football, acting on a plea from the Nigeria Football Federation, granted a one-week postponement of the first leg affair following an armed robbery attack on the Nigerian champions that left five players injured.
CAF has already informed the NFF that the second leg of the fixture will take place as scheduled at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano on Saturday, March 28.
