Super Eagles Striker Joins Japanese Top Side

  Water FC of Abuja graduate Okechukwu Gabriel has completed a four year deal with Consadole Sapporo who are one of the campaignersin the J1 League in Japan. The Super Eagles striker who featured in CAF Champions League alongside Babatunde Micheal for Wydad Casablanca of Morocco have sealed a lucrative deal with the Japanese outfit. Okechukwu Gabriel will now play in the Japanese League until 2025 haven completed a four years deal. The 25 years old striker has been unveiled by his new club in Japan and he's expected to start training with the team haven completed his medical routine. Gabriel Okechukwu was the saviour of the CHAN Super Eagles and Silver medalist at the  African Nations Champions 2018 in Morocco under the tutelage of Coach Salisu Yusuf where he scored a goal in the Quarter final against Angola and against Sudan in the Semi Final of the tournament. Gabriel was invited to the Super Eagles by late Stephen Keshi.

Access Bank Lagos City Marathon Consultant Bukola Olopade Bags Trailblazer Award

Bayo Adegboyega Managing Director of Nilayo Sports Management Limited, Hon. Bukola Olopade has won the Trailblazer Award for his giant stride in ensuring that Ogun State becomes a hub for road races. Hon. Olopade who is a former sports commissioner in the gateway state with the support of the state government and notable corporate bodies introduced the Abeokuta 10 KM Road race as well as the ValueJet Remo Ultra Race in 2019, the first time in the history of the state that road races will take centre stage. January 11, 2020 – Nilayo Sports Management Limited, organises of the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, Great Abeokuta 10KM Race, Valuejet IAU African Championships among other races across the country has announced Ijebu International Half Marathon, a Half Marathon holding in Ijebu Ode. Mr. Bukola Olopade, the Chief Executive Officer of Nilayo Sports Management limited said “we are very excited about organising another international road race in Ogun state. The Ijebu International Half Marathon is a 21 Kilometre race, the route will start from the newly constructed Epe-Ijebu road and will end at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium. The Ijebu International Half Marathon was motivated by Ijebu Heritage Club.
