NFF 1st Vice President and Chairman of the NFF Youth Football Committee, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi was full of elan and elocution on Tuesday, after another successful and highly inspiring conclusion of the NFF/Zenith Bank Future Eagles Championship.   This year’s event was concluded at the Agege Stadium.   The 1st Vice President of Nigeria Football Federation, Bar. Seyi Akinwunmi has reiterated that the plan of the present NFF Board and Management is to win the FIFA World Cup for Nigeria.   Akinwunmi said this on Sunday in Port Harcourt while addressing players and officials of the U-23 National Team, Dream Team, after its 2-1 victory over Congo in an African U-23 Championship qualifying game.   He said the NFF is proud with the display put up by the boys against Congo as this is what many Nigerians have been yearning for, and from what the boys have shown, they are at the verge of playing for the Super Eagles.   "Even though we should have beaten the Congolese by a wider margin, the NFF is happy with your display. Seyi Akinwunmi, who represented the NFF president, Amaju Pinnick at the event applauded the organisers of the third level league in Nigeria for a job well done, and stated that the NNWL is the bedrock of Nigeria football as he promised them of maximum support be it in cash or in kind. Pix  LSFA Exco being sworn in NFF First Vice-President Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi was yesterday returned unopposed at the the Lagos FA Elections held in Epe, Lagos, under the supervision of NFF board member Barrister Chris Green. Akinwunmi alongside newly elected president of the Nigerian Referees Association Tade Azeez where both returned unopposed as Chairman and Vice-chairman respectively. Also making a return to the Exco of the State FA is the immediate past vice-chairman of Lagos Swan Mr Wale Joseph, Mojeed Adegbindin and Olatunde Green. Chairman of Lagos DFA Ifalade Oyekan also won a seat on the Exco of the LSFA, Oyekan was also elected unopposed from his zone. The high point of the day however was the election of candidates from the Lagos west zone into the LSFA Exco. Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has again reiterated its commitment towards ensuring Golden Eaglets' impressive showing at next month's U-17 African Championship to be hosted in Niger. This much was said by Mr. Seyi Akinwunmi, NFF's Vice-president, during a whistle-stop at the team's NFF/FIFA Goal Project camp late Wednesday. He commended officials for working assiduously over the festive period, adding that that NFF would offer its usual maximum support to the team at the forthcoming continental cadet championship. Akinwunmi To Act As NFF Boss As Pinnick Travels

Lagos State Football Association (L.S.F.A) Chairman Barr. Seyi Akinwummi who also doubles as the Vice President of Nigeria Football Federation (N.F.F) is uncertain of being re-elected into the Stata F.A chairmanship position. No doubt, the NFF vice president has done well in terms of achievement to an extent during his first tenure as the LSFA boss but more still need to be done. Akinwunmi who took over the position from ex-Internation Waheed Akanni spoke to BFCNew Soccer App after the Annual General Assembly (A.G.A) meeting in Lagos and said that he can not authoritatively say whether he will be vying for the chairmanship position but promise to make his intention known when it is appropriate.
