Supreme Court FC Wednesday evening defeated Spotlight fc of Kastina in one of the week 11 matches decided in the Nigeria National League, NNL. Being the second meeting for both sides, Supreme Court fondly known as Apex Boys successfully completed home and away victory over their visitors in Abuja after they convincingly grabbed vital win in newly built Karkanda stadium in Kastina. It was Johnson Michael’s lone header in the 82nd minute of the encounter that separated the two NNL club sides in the return leg played on the Area 3 astro turf. Delighted Kogi United Head Coach, Fatai Osho has said his side's slender margin victory over his former club, Supreme Court was as important as a 10-0 victory. Osho, who joined Kogi United in the mid-season in the ongoing Nigeria National League, NNL faced his former employer for the first since leaving the Abuja based club. The entertaining match which lived up to the billing and expectation of close to 5000 spectators was decided by the 53rd minute spot kick converted by Captain Afolabi Abiodun which gave the home side the total victory. ‘Drogba’ Nails Jigawa Stars For Supreme Court Squad

Supreme Court FC resurrected their chances of finishing on top by the end of the season with a 2-0 victory over Jigawa Golden Stars in one of the week eight matches decided in the Nigeria National League this weekend. The much needed win was recorded in the second half, courtesy of two quick goals from Striker Paul Samson and Emmanuel Chukwuma in what appeared like a pay back to their Opponents who claimed a late lone goal victory in the first leg in Dutse. The Apex Boys after a goalless first half, returned after half time in a more blistering way. Samson nicknamed Drogba fired a deadly shot from outside his opponents’ 18-yard box to open scoring in the 54th minute of the game. NNL: Supreme Court FC Appoint Osuji As Interim Head Coach

One of Nigeria National League, NNL campaigners Supreme Court FC of Abuja on Tuesday announced the appointment of Coach Joachim Osuji as interim Head Coach of the team saddled with the responsibility of steering the club to gain promotion by the end of current season.   General Manager of the Abuja-based side Tolulope Oguntimehin who announced the sudden charge of guard in the club’s technical hierarchy noted that Osuji now have to lead the team after Technical Adviser Fatai Osho who he had assisted stepped aside earlier in the day.   Oguntimehin whose target remained to return premier league action to the Nation’s capital however assured Fans and Players that the club was on course to achieving its aim without any hindrance.   He equally pledged the readiness of the club’s management led by Ahmed Gambo Saleh to retain the current squad in a bid to sustain the high tempo which has been set in motion.   “There is no cause for...

Supreme Court FC of Abuja at the weekend extended their winning streak with an assertive 2-0 win over visiting Yobe Desert Stars in one of the match day five of Nigeria National League, NNL decided at Area 3 playground. The victory automatically retained Apex Boys on top of A1 group with 10 points. Yet again, the   on-going Nigeria National League (NNL) has continued to produce interesting results as home teams had near clean sweep by defeating all the visiting clubs at the weekend with Ikorodu United walloping Bussdor 4-0 at home. Elsewhere Plateau United hammered Jigawa Golden Stars 3-0 while Remo Stars defeated rivals Prime FC of Ogbomosho 3-1. Adamawa United destroyed visiting Kogi United 2-0 but Head Coach of  Kogi United, Yomi Godwin Elijah has lamented the manner his team lost to Adamawa United in the tough duel on Saturday. Supreme Court FC at the weekend defeated Kaduna United 2-1 to extend their winning streak in one of the match day 4 of Nigeria National League, NNL decided  inside Area 3 playground in Abuja. The Apex Boys who are now having seven points seat on top of table in their pool. It was an action packed encounter which lived up to its expectation with both side giving good account of themselves before Abuja teaming fans who turned out en mass to catch glimpse of soccer show. NNL: Supreme Court Bags First NNL Away Victory Against Spotlight FC

It was celebration of sorts inside Karkanda stadium located within Katsina state capital, venue of one of the Match day 3 of Nigeria National League; NNL after Supreme Court FC of Abuja spanked Spotlight FC 3-2 in a densely hot weather on Sunday. The shema boys were the same team that held Super Eagles turtored by Stephen Keshi to a goaless draw five days ago on the same ground. Though the game against their League foes began with the home team dominating affairs in the first 20 minutes of play, the Apex Boys as Abuja based side are fondly called took over missing flurry of chances before Spotlight got an opener in the 38 minutes.
