CONTINENTAL EXCLUSIVE: Amaju Pinnick favourites to be CAF first vice president

PHOTOGRAPH by The NFF Nigeria Football Federation  (NFF) President, Amaju Melvin Pinnick, is turning out to be the most powerful football administrator in the country going by his recent moves in anal of football politics on the African continent. "The proponents of Pinnick must continue agenda say we should leverage on his CAF lift to bring many goodies to Nigeria football. "He is definitely the most powerful football administrator living or dead. Amaju Pinnick will be first vice president of CAF anytime soon" according to a comment from a Whatsapp group named: NIGERIA SPORTS MOUTHPIECE by a highly rated Abuja-based Sports Journalist, Adewale Ajayi. He continued "Take this to the bank. In a matter of weeks from now, Pinnick will be confirmed first vice president of CAF, thereby becoming the most powerful football administrator ever in the history of Nigerian football. "Pinnick is a strong politician as shown in his CAF adventure," says Adewale.

Mbia on 2018 World Cup mission with Belinga

Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot) on Friday, 30th of October named Alexander Belinga as interim coach to replace sacked German Volker Finke as he look forward to booking a place at the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup with African Best Nominee, captain Stephane Etoundi Mbia. The German was appointed in May 2013 but his performance had come in for strong criticism after stream of poor results. Having spent close to two years under coach Volker Finke as a captain, Mbia will be looking forward to steer the Indomitable Lion to their 8th World Cup outing under Alexandre Belinga as they flag up their qualifying campaign against Niger Republic on November 15. The President of Cameroon the Fecafoot, Tombi A Roko, said that fellow Cameroonian Bonaventure Djonkep would be Belinga's assistant. Experienced Mbia won the last two edition of Europa Cup  with Sevilla of Spain, his wealth of experience of the round lethal game will go a long way in helping coach Belinga to land Cameroon their 8...

CAF Names Oyeyode For AYC Duty

The Confederation of African Football has named NFF’s Deputy Director (Competitions), Mr. Bola Oyeyode as Assistant General Coordinator for the 19th African Youth Championship finals taking place in Senegal in March 2015.   The tournament, at which Nigeria’s Flying Eagles, six –time champions of Africa will play in Group A alongside host Senegal, Congo and Cote d’Ivoire, will take place 8th – 22nd March.   Oyeyode, a highly experienced, energetic and astute official, and also Nigeria’s CAF Education Officer, will work with General Coordinators Alex Asante (Ghana) and Mazen Marzouk (Egypt). Gabonese Yoland Mavouroutou is the other Assistant General Coordinator.   The other Nigerian named so far is screen diva Aisha Falode, veteran football journalist and administrator who is also a member of the CAF Media Committee.
