Pinnick wants Siasia Boys to finish strong in Senegal

GRASSROOTS: 16 Junior Schools jostles for Oba Durosinmi Cup as competition kicks off

The maiden edition of Oba Abideen Durosinmi Junior Secondary School Cup kicked off yesterday,  Thursday in Ojo Local Council District Areas under Ojo Local Government with some interesting results. The match day 1 of the junior secondary school football event, knock out stage, witnessed 15 goals from three fixtures, Alice Opara College, Ajagbadi crushed Lagos an State Model Junior College 6-0, Community Junior High School comfortably beat Ijedodo Junior Grammar School four nill, the last match of the day was between Aganjuaka Junior Grammar School and Army Cantoment Boys Junior Secondary School ended in a 3-2 win for the latter. Match day two actions will resume on Monday. Osolu Junior High School will take on Awori Junior College, Egan Junior High School will trade tackles with Government Junior High,  the last fixture of the match day will be between ILOGBO Elegba Junior Grammar School and Iba Housing Estate Junior High School. Nationwide Clubs to feature in Gulf-African Tourney in Dubai

As part of it immediate partnership’s dividend with The Different Box LLC and United Arab Emirates (Dubai Sports Council), four clubs from the Nationwide League One (NLO) have been invited to take part in a maiden edition of Gulf-African Football Tournament scheduled for early next year in Dubai. GAF is a tournament organized by a Dubai-based event management company (The Different Box) along with the permit of Dubai Sports Council. It is a two week event; starting from January 10-25, 2016 and will feature sixteen teams from both regions. The Executive Secretary of the NLO, Olushola Ogunnowo, said that the invitation was made possible following the league’s quest to collaborate with the lower league in Dubai in its effort to showcase the NLO to the globe. Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot) on Friday, 30th of October named Alexander Belinga as interim coach to replace sacked German Volker Finke as he look forward to booking a place at the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup with African Best Nominee, captain Stephane Etoundi Mbia. The German was appointed in May 2013 but his performance had come in for strong criticism after stream of poor results.
