RABAT 2019:Flying Eagles Forward Emeka Chinonso wants Gold Medal As Birthday Gift

Flying Eagles striker Emeka Chinonso has charged his team mates to remain focus and beat Burkina Faso for him as a birthday gift when both teams meet in the men's football game at the ongoing 2019 African Games in Morocco. The lanky striker whose goal against the host Morocco in the last group game ensured Nigeria picked the semifinal ticket admitted that the final match will be tough but optimistic that the Flying Eagles are more determined and focused than their Burkina Faso counterparts. He added that his team mates should borrow a leaf from the Falconets who won Cameroon on penalties to win the gold medal in women football event on Thursday.   Success Makanjuola Flying Eagles dazzling winger Success Makanjuola and gangling forward Emeka Chinonso are hopeful of sealing the final ticket in the men’s football event of the 2019 African Games taking place in Morocco. Nigeria will trade tackles with Mali in Wednesday’s semifinal clash in Rabat but Success and Chinonso are confident that the team will book the final ticket with a victory later today. Both players were outstanding in their last game against host nations Morocco. Emeka scored Nigeria’s second goal in that game after coming on as a substitute while Makanjuola made meaningful impact with his contribution to the team’s success. The Flying Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the semifinals of the football event in the 2019 African Games taking place in Rabat following a 2-2 draw against host nation, Morocco with Success Makanjuola and Emeka Chinonso posting a worthy performance at the FAR Sports Complex Rabat. After gathering four points from two games in Group A, the Nigerian team needed just a point to advance to the knockout phase of the competition and they did just that in grandstyle. The hosts opened scoring as early as 12 minutes through Mohsinne Abba's header after defensive blunder from the Nigerian team and dictated the tone of the game for the  better part of the first 45 minutes. With less than seven minutes to half time break, Nigeria drew level through captain Ibrahim Abubakar's rebound from a penalty spot after Ghali Ahmad has been brought down in the box. Under 20 debut excites Chinonso Emeka

Flying Eagles gangling forward, Chinonso Emeka a is happy after making his debut with the Nigerian Under 20 team against South Africa at the ongoing African Games in Rabat, Morocco. The Brook House FC of England striker made his dream debut when he came in as a substitute for Collins Sor, made meaningful impact and contributed to the Nigeria's attack with his display before the winning goal scored by Ghali Ahmad. Nigeria won the game 2-1. After the game the forward said: "I'm happy to have made my debut today against South Africa and it's a dream come through for me. "I think we need to build on this success as a team and continue to work hard till we achieved our aim," he concluded. Coach Paul Aigbogun's men will trade tackles with the host nation Morocco in their last group match. A win for the Nigerian side will propel them to the  knockout stage of men's football event of the 12th edition of Africa Games.

2109 African Games: Emeka Chinonso looking forward to U20 debut

Flying Eagles forward, Emeka Chinonso has said that his looking forward to making his first appearance for the Nigerian team when they face Burkina Faso at the men's football event of the 2019 African Games in Morocco.  The Brookhouse FC of England star who was named in Paul Aigbogun's final squad to the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland could not make an appearance during the tournament says it will be a remarkable thing for him to play his first game for Nigeria in Morocco. "Making a debut in this tournament will be remarkable thing for me as a player and a dream come through. "I have been working hard for the tournament and I feel great when our coach listed my name amongst the final squad for the African Games". Emeka,17, concluded by saying: " I will be glad to have a chance to play during this tournament and I promise I will not disappoint  our coach if given the opportunity.

FLYING EAGLES: Emeka, Success Available For Red Bull Salzburg II Friendly

Brookhouse lanky striker Chinonso Emeka and Water FC talented left-winger Success Makanjuola are available for selection for the international friendly between World Cup bound Flying Eagles and Red Bull Salzburg II. Emeka and Success made Paul Aigbogun's final 21-man list for the FIFA Under 20 World Cup coming up in Poland later this month after their impressive displays in Germany. The test game which is expected to kick off by 4:00pm Nigerian time will   enable Aigbogun to finalize his preparation ahead of the big event in Poland. The Nigerian U20 team are expected to arrive the host country, Poland this weekend ahead of their first group match against Qatar.
