Remo Stars Football Club will take on Gateway United in the Ogun State FA CUP final at the MKO Abiola Abeokuta on Sunday and Technical adviser Uche Okagbue has expressed  optimism about his lads making a statement this time around. The Sky Blue Stars qualified for the State Cup final and Federation cup (Nationals) after they defeated WUSU FC 4-0 in the semi-final to setup a blockbuster final with Gateway United for the third consecutive season. 2015 Federation Cup Competitions Begin March 7

This year’s Men and Women Federation Cup competitions will kick off with the State preliminaries on Saturday, March 7, according to NFF’s Head of Federation Cup Unit, Ruth David.   The preliminaries in the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory will end with the finals on April 4-5, before a Draw is conducted for the National finals, which begins with the play-off round April 18-19, before the Round of 64, May13-14.   This year’s Men and Women Federation Cups’ grand finale has been slated for August 16.

Dolphins Resume For 2014/15 Season

  Players of Dolphins returned to Port Harcourt over the past weekend as they begin preparations for 2014/15 football season.   Dolphins will attack football in all fronts- the CAF Confederation Cup, Nigeria Professional Football League and Nigeria Federation Cup.   The team currently has four weeks to its opening match in the CAF Confederation Cup, a road trip to Leonas Vegetarianos of Equatorial Guinea and hope to be ready enough for that game.   “Three weeks of training plus five games in the League Management Company organized pre-season tournament next week may not be enough preparation but is above average considering the circumstance,” Media Officer of the club, China Acheru said.   “The old players of the club have returned and we expect the newly signed on players to be in camp by today (Monday) or tomorrow (Tuesday) so the coaches can start their fitness exercise then begin to impose their philosophy on the team.” ...
