Chairman House Committee on Sports, Honourable Ekene Abubakar Adams is set to fulfill his campaign promise of establishing a world class Sports Academy to his  constituency. The Chairman House Committee on Sports, Hon. @⁨Ekene Adams⁩ , has applauded the Super Eagles for reaching the knockout stage of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).  The astute sports administrator said the Super Eagles are on the right path after they defeated Guinea Bissau in their final group game.  Nigeria qualified for the last-16 of Africa's biggest Sports tournament on Monday unbeaten in the group stage, conceding just once.  And Adams, the former General Manager of Remo Stars, said the three-time winners have continued to improve with every game.  He described Jose Peseiro's men as resilient, patriotic and dedicated, tipping them to go all the way to the final. The states Football Association chairmen have charged the Super Eagles of Nigeria to go all out for victory against Guinea Bissau in their Africa Cup of Nations last group game A game in Ivory Coast. Nigeria Para volleyball Federation Seeks Financial Support for 2024 Paralympics Qualifiers

Kayode Ladele, President of the Nigeria Paravolleyball Federation, has appealed for funding support from the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Sports and Corporate Organisations to ensure the successful hosting of the African qualifiers for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. With barely nine days to the commencement of the qualifiers, he expressed that the federation is currently at a 45% readiness level as funding remains at the centre of all necessary arrangements for a colourful event. “Everything that we need in terms of the arrangements is in place. We cannot do it alone. We need corporate sponsors and organisations to support us in this movement," Ladele stressed. FIFA Hit Banik Ostrava With Transfer Ban Over 36 Lion's Outstanding Transfer Fees

FIFA have sent the Czech Football Association a letter in which they slammed a transfer ban on Banik Ostrava as a result of outstanding dues to 36 Lion Football Club. The ban will only be lifted when Banik pay the outstanding dues they owe the Lagos based club for the transfer of Tijani Muhamed on 1st July 2023. The letter received didn’t specify the number of transfer windows that Banik will be banned from, but only clarified that it is due to the former Flying Eagles striker deal with the Czech Republic top flight team. Muhamed, 23, is a product of 36 Lion. He joined Slavia Praha from Banik during last summer's transfer window for €1.26m according to Transfermkt.com. The transfer fee should have been paid over several installments; however, Banik failed to meet the deadlines as regards the fee meant for 36 Lion.  Muhamed started his professional career at Banik after joining from 36 Lion ahead of the 2018/19 season. The maiden edition of Stephen Odey's Cup took centre stage yesterday in Lagos at the Dairy Farm Secondary School Agege. In his bid to give back to the society, former MFM FC striker Stephen Odey, organised a football tournament tagged — Stephen Odey's Cup. About 16 schools, including Boys and Girls from Junior and Senior Secondary Schools from the Lagos State Education District One, Agege, participated in the event with over N1million cash prize for the teams. Dairy Farm Senior Secondary School emerged winner of the Senior Boys category after a 2-0 win over Oke Odo Senior Grammar School and were reward with N300,000 cash prize.
