FA Chaimen Charge Super Eagles To Go For Victory Over Guinea Bissau
The states Football Association chairmen have charged the Super Eagles of Nigeria to go all out for victory against Guinea Bissau in their Africa Cup of Nations last group game A game in Ivory Coast.
Super Eagles will lock horns with the Djurtus at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium on Monday evening. The match starts at 4pm (Nigerian time).
In a separate interview with Nationsport at their hotel du Capitol in Abidjan, the chairmen heaped praises on the coach Jose Peseiro-tutored side for their impressive performance in the tournament so far.
Nasarawa state FA chairman Sanusi Galadima commended Super Eagles for overcoming the host country, Elephant of Coted’Ivoire 1-0 in a match watched by over 49,717 persons inside the Stade Olympics Ahlassan Quattara D’Empipe on Thursday.
“I am very happy for the win and I it shows the determination of the boys to prove to the world that Nigeria is still a strong footballing Nations. They should finish the job by beating Guinea Bissau on Monday. I wish them the very best in their last match,” Galadima said.
On his part, the newly elected Kaduna state FA Chairman, Mr Faisal Mohammed urged Super Eagles to be focused on the game against Guinea Bissau.
Mohammed, who is impressed with the team’s display against Cote d’Ivoire on Thursday, stressed that they have all it takes to get to the final.
“People who had written-off the Super Eagles after their first game against Equatorial Guinea performances can see now that our Super Eagles still have what it takes to shine. I am very sure that we can do it again as the team slogan is called ” Letsdoitagain”. We should just keep faith in the boys and I believe they will play in the final of this AFCON,” Mohammed said.
Osun State FA Chairman, Mr Sola Fanawopo said that the support for the team is 100% while urging them to keep their wining mentality against Guinea Bissau.
“With what I saw from the boys and the Support they are getting from all quarters, I am sure we will lift the trophy here on the final day of the AFCON 2023,” he said.
