Emem Eduok Set New NPFL Record With Double Hat-trick

Dolphins scored six goals without conceding against Nembe City in Port Harcourt on Wednesday to move back to 4th on the log in the Nigeria Professional Football League thanks to Emem Eduok for the six goals. The big story was striker, Emem Eduok scoring all six goals in the game to break the Nigerian League record of 4 goals a game and set his own.   In the 14th minute, while backing the post, Eduok turned around and volleyed a loose ball home to open scores. By the 22nd minute, it was 2-0 as Eduok dribbled his way past the defence and blasted home. In the 31st minute Victor Alegbe was brought down in the box and Emem stepped up to score the penalty and get his hattrick, the first time he would take a penalty this season. Half time ended 3-0 to Dolphins. Five minutes into the second half, Eduok was freed by Adamu and his first shot was blocked by the goalkeeper but he rushed in to get the rebound and score to equal a goal scoring record held by Victor Ezeji in 2007 for Dolphins

NFF Terminate Keshi's Contract, Appoints Amodu, Salisu Yusuf And Gbenga Ogunbote

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Thursday morning announced the contract termination of Super Eagles head Coach Stephen Keshi and appoints Amodu Shuaibu as interim coach, Salisu Yusuf and Gbenga Ogunbote will be his assistant while Alloy Agu will be the goalkeeper trainer. The NFF executive board members held long hours a meeting at the Transcrop Hilton Hotel in Abuja the board unanimously agreed to part ways with the Big Boss and his technical crew. Speaking with cross section of the press shortly after the meeting at 1am Nigeria time on Thursday, first vice President of the Federation, Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi said the Federation appreciated Keshi and will give due support to him and his technical crew. "You could recall Keshi and his technical crew contract expired after the World cup, and the Federation have decided not to renew their contract," Akinwunmi revealed. Dolphins Congratulate New NFF President And Board

  Dolphins Football Club congratulates Amaju Pinnick and members of the new Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation.   We as a club are happy with the conduct of the elections on Tuesday, September 30, and I was there as a representative of the club and we believe this will be the dawn of a new era in Nigerian football.   We have looked at the caliber of people on the board and believe they are credible and have the ability to move our football forward.   We also congratulate Christopher Green on his reelection as a member of the Executive Committee.   We believe many good things will come from this. Knowing the antecedents of Amaju Pinnick, you will know that he has been in the football fraternity for a long time and he understands the heartbeat of the football loving people of Nigeria.
