MFM FC continue smooth home run, beat Wikki Tourists

Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries FC continued their fine home form on Wednesday at the Soccer Temple, Agege Stadium after claiming a 2-1 win over Wikki Tourists in one of Matchday 6 fixtures of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). MFM FC dominated early in the game with Olatunbosun Sikiru winning the first free kick of the match after three minutes of play but Okorom Stanley's effort from the free kick could not beat Wikki Tourists goalkeeper, Sani Haliru. The Olukoya Boys continued with absolute dominance creating chances at will. MFM FC took the lead in the 6th minute when Adebayo Waheed put the ball beyond the reach Wikki's goalie off an assist from Akila Jesse after a counter attacking display orchestrated by Onuwa Chukwuka. Shammah Paul Tanze was brought down by Abisoye Olawale inside MFM FC's box on 15 minutes and the centre referee sounded his whistle for a penalty. The management of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries FC led by Emmanuel Adeyemi has dedicated the team’s 1-0 victory over Wikki Tourists FC to the General Overseer of the church, Dr Daniel Olukoya and his wife Shade Olukoya who became year older yesterday. The Olukoya Boys beat the Bauchi-based side 1-0 in a Matchday 29 game of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) played on Sunday evening at the Soccer Temple, Agege Stadium courtesy of Stephen Odey’s 17th league goal. The lively encounter saw both teams entertaining their fans with beautiful passing skills and glorious display. The hosts produced the first meaningful impact of the game when Adegboyega Adekunle forced Emeka Nwabulu of Wikki Tourists to save after three minutes of play. Osas Delighted With Wikki Move

Former Kogi United attacking midfielder Osas Eghe has spoken of his delight at joining Nigeria Professional Football League club Wikki Tourists. The midfielder ended his long rumoured move to Bauchi last week by signing the dotted lines for Abdul Maikaba's team. The young midfielder spoke about how he is going to cement himself in the starting eleven and do well for his new team.   ''I am very happy to join a big club like Wikki Tourists and I am glad all speculations regarding my future have come to an end.   ''I know it won’t be easy to get a starting place, the competition is very stiff and for me to get more time I must work extra harder.   ''My gratitude also goes to the entire Kogi United family for the chance to excel at the highest level.   Osas, who has been on Wikki’s radar for a long time, was in a sparkling form for Kogi United in the 2013/14 Nigeria National League season.
