Multi Media Journalists Congratulate Super Falcons On AWCON Success
Multi Media Journalists have congratulated the national women's football team, Super Falcons, on their victory over Cameroon in Saturday's final of the 2016 Africa Women's Championship (AWCON). The Florence Omagbemi managed side swept to their eighth AWCON title after En Avant Guinean forward Desire Oparanozie struck with six minutes left on the clock to ensure that the Super Falcons retained their continental title in a fully packed Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaounde. In a press statement released on Monday, Multi Media Journalists' spokesperson, Alonge Akinlolu said, "It is indeed a joyous moment in the history of women football in Nigeria and we congratulate the Super Falcons players, technical team and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for representing us very well in the tournament.
