Abia Warriors FC of Umuahia has once again warned Kano Pillars to stay clear of one of its players Joshua Enaholo, threatening that any attempt to register the player in any guise will be resisted by the Umuahia based team. In a reminder letter to the Kano based outfit, Abia Warriors frowned at the non challant and unprofessional attitude being exhibited by  Kano Pillars on the player, saying that despite writing them severally on the status of the goalkeeper, that  Kano Pillars unprofessionally decided to keep the player in their camp and planning to go ahead to registering him with fasified documents. They frowned that this is  going on  despite the fact that  the player is still drawing his salaries from Abia Warriors. Abia Warriors condemn fans unruly behaviour after Ifeanyi Ubah draw

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Abia warriors Football Club of Umuahia, have condemned in strong terms, the minor skirmishes that followed the club’s 1-1 draw with visiting oriental brothers, FC Ifeanyi Ubah at the Umuahia Township Stadium and accused the opposing fans of engineering the violence. In a statement issued in Umuahia after the club’s emergency management meeting, Abia Warriors recalled that the Umuahia Township Stadium has remained the most peaceful venue in the country as no violence had ever been recorded at the arena in the history of Nigerian Football before, during or after any match no matter the result recorded. According to a source, Abia Warriors are been alleged to have concluded arrangement to favour Sharks FC on Match Day 38 fixture in Umuahia this Sunday. A fan of Abia Warriors,  who gave his name as Ifeanyi Chukwujike hinted Nigeria Sports  Arena that  the two clubs might have agreed to allow result favour the visitors. Chukwujike who is fondly called,  "The Tunder", condemned the decision for a compromised. Abia Warriors Signs Former Golden Eaglet Goalkeeper

Former Golden Eaglets goalkeeper Bassey Akpan has joined Ladan Bosso's Abia Warriors on loan until the end of the season, the club have have confirmed. The experienced campaigner gave a good account of himself at Bayelsa United after he decided not to renew his contract at Vietnamese club Hoang Gia Lia at the end of the 2014 season. He kept clean sheets in his first three matches against Gabros FC, Sharks and FC Taraba. Bassey joins a club sitting in 10th place in the top flight division. Abia Warriors have accrued 13 points from 10 league games this season, and are seven points adrift of leaders Sunshine Stars.

Dolphins Return From Tunisia Set To Play Abia Warriors

Dolphins FC will return to the league on Wednesday to play a rescheduled game against Abia Warriors.   Dolphins had spent 9 days on a journey to Tunisia and back to play a CAF Confederation Cup game and had two league matches against Abia Warriors in Umuahia and Warri Wolves in Port Harcourt rescheduled. The team will now play their rescheduled game against Abia Warriors in Umuahia on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 while a date is yet to be fixed for the game against Warri Wolves.   Dolphins have played against Abia Warriors twice in the top flight. In Port Harcourt last season, Dolphins won 3-0 while in Umuahia, Abia Warriors won 2-1.
