Abia Comets Send SOS To Governor Okezie Ikpea
The President of Abia Comets Football Club, Victor Nwakanma, has sent an 'Save Our Soul' message to Abia State Governor, His Excellency Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu over the perennial flooding that keeps staff of the Club in a state of fear each time it rains. Nwakanma made the call in the club's office in Umuahia when the staff and some management members were trapped in the club office as a result the heavy downpour on Thursday evening which caused serious flooding that submerged the offices thereby distroying valuable documents and property of the club. The President of the Abia based Nigeria National League side said the rate of flooding in the area every year is life-threatening.
