Adewale Dedicates Debut Goals To Late Father

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Warri Wolves new signing Alimi Sikiru Adewale has dedicated his first topfligh goals to late Father Pa Alimi Rasheed.

The new boy in the Seasiders squad was listed in Paul Aigbogun's starting 11 against Giwa Footbal Club of Jos in the rescheduled fixture of matchday two of the NPFL at the Warri City Stadium on Wednesday. and he put a great debut performance with two goals and one assist that saw his team winning their second game of the season comfortably with a three nill victory.

Sikiru inspired Warri Wolves to record the highest result so far in the league this term when he set up an easy opener with a square pass that found an unmarked Gbolahan Salami in the 16th minute of play before helping himself to a goal each in the first and second half of the encounter.

The former First Bank of Lagos forward found his way into the score sheet few minutes to end the first 45 minutes when he brilliantly beat an offside trap to latch on to Ichull Lordson's ball over the top.

The first half encounter ended two nill for Wolves.

Adewale continue from where he stopped in the first half, he put the icing on the cake in the 63rd minute of the game and completed his brace when he connected an Egwuekwe's long ball and applies the finish with a superb display that found Giwa goalkeeper helpless.

Speaking after his team victory,  Adewale stated that the debut brace means a whole lot to him and most importantly he dedicated his two NPFL goals to his late father and his team mates.

"I feel really good and fulfilled scoring twice on my debut in the Nigeria Professional Football League with Warri Wolves, this is what every striker prayed for and  I thank God for crowning my efforts with the goals, I'm really grateful.

" I wish my daddy is alive to see his son making progress in his chosen career but God knows best, so I'm using this moment to dedicate the goals to him and my teammates and the coaching crew for their support so far and for having faith in me.I promised to score more goals although I'm not under pressure but it's important I score goals and give my best to the team," the two goal hero concluded.
