It was commendation galore in all the centres last weekend in the week one fixture of the Glo Premier League as both home and away teams alongside soccer fans commended the level of officiating put up by the Referees.

Available information from most of the centers indicated that officiating were at best in the league first games, kudos to the introduction of Referees assessors by the new leadership of the LMC headed by Mallam Shehu Dikko.

From Portharcout to Nnewi through Jalingo to Benin, Aba and kano as well as Bauchi and Jos, the news of excellent officiating by Referees filtered in as fans, home and away teams urged the LMC to ensure that it is sustained all through the season.

This formed part of the concerted efforts to raise the standard of the League and build confidence on our fans to return to the stadium, even as efforts are being made to introduce special security for fans and Referees to guarantee a healthy atmosphere in all the league venues.

In another efforts to bring back fans to the stadium ,most clubs are already planning ahead to utilize the newly introduced fans development strategy introduced by the new board of LMC which tends to rewards clubs that mobilize over 5000 fans at their venues.

Available reports indicate that clubs like Heartland FC Owerri and Kwara United FC Ilorin may kick start the new innovation from week two and three as students, corps members and children may be given access to watch their matches free as part of efforts to experiment it and benefit from the new offer by the new LMC board.
