Okagbue, Ogunmodede Pitches Tent With Remo Stars

Nigeria National League (NNL) campaigner Remo Stars FC have appointed Uche Okagbue as their new head coach and Daniel Ogunmodede as the assistant coach of the club for upcoming season.

The Ogun State based team opted for the Nnewi based tactician following the departure of Olabode Awakan to fierce rivals Gateway United, Okagbue who previously had spells with Gabros FC and FRSC FC in 2013 and 2014 both in the NNL has been handed the task of leading the Sky Blue Stars in the new season .

''This club has big ambitions and I want to be part of her history . It's desire for youth development is also something that means a lotto me personally.

"I was pleased to see young footballers give one of the best team inNigeria, Enyimba a hard time in the Federations Cup in 2013.

"I have managed in games in Ijebu-Ode before and knows what an areathe Dipo-Dina stadium is and how passionate the Ijebu-Ode fans are",said Okagbue.

Following the appointment of Uche Okagbue as the head coach earlier this week the Sky Blue Stars moved a step closer to ensuring they have a strong technical team for the new NNL season with the appointment of Ogunmodede.

Daniel who was with Crown FC in the Nigeria Professional League last season ended his six years romance with the Ogbomosho team by switching tent to the Sky Blue Stars after the team got relegated from the top division.

''Well am glad to have joined up with Remo Stars Football Club. It's aclub with the right atmosphere for exhibiting your capabilities

"This isn't a backward move for me cause have been able to work in Crown promoting them on two occasions in assisting duties hopefully I will do the same with Remo Stars and things might be different from Crown.

"Am quite pleased with what I have seen so far and working with a very good friend in Uche Okagbue it makes it a whole lot easier for me to bring my experience to the table.

"The club has a tradition of playing football with young players which is quite interesting cause I was here in 2013 and I was amazed with how the team played and it's something I want to be part of the dynamism and outstanding performance of the team and hopefully I can achieve a lot with Remo Stars.",said Daniel.

Kunle Soname Boys narrowly escaped relegation last season in NNL but with the quality of these two coaches the Sky Blue Stars are definitely in for a better 2015 football season.
