FRIENDLY MATCH: Cynosure FC Vs Macwjeff FC game ends in a 2-2 draw


The centre of attraction equalised late in the game and were clearly the more threatening side in the second half but Macwjeff Fc showed they are a force to be reckoned with after coming from behind to lead at some point in the game. 


Cynosure Fc showed spirit and drive as the began the quest to extent their unbeaten run to 19 games in preseason on a high note as they created early chances which did not yield any fruit.


Joseph Thomas definitely the most outstanding player on the pitch for the home team with his impressive run on the right wing with his beautiful runs and crosses.


Both teams showed caution and tactical discipline to ensure that the first half ended goalless.


The second half resumed with a lot of drama and excitements.


Cynosure Fc task seemed to be made easy when Daberechi Anyanwu broke the deadlock in the 59th minute of the game with a crisp finish. The fleet-footed attacker raced past the Macwjeff defence, to finish a typical Cynosure Fc build up play characterized by interchange of passes slotted the ball home with a coiling chip to the admiration of the crowd.

The Macwjeff Fc goalkeeper had no answer to that one as he was left ball watching.


  

Macwjeff Fc came out guns blazing with series of attacks and it was no surprise when they soon got the equalised through Amie Elijah in the 79th minute. The attacker cleverely out smart his marker to sneak the ball into the net.


Four minutes later the home side team was thrown into further confusion when the conceded a second goal against the run of play. Israel Banigo took advantage of poor defending by the home team to shoot his team into the lead.


At that point in the game, it doned on the players of Cynosure Fc that their 18 match unbeaten record in preseason was about to be shattered and they rallied back to avoid that.


Cynosure Fc pinned Macwjeff Fc in their own half for long spells in the remaining part of the contest. The momentum shift came through Ifeanyi Anyanwu who rose highest to head home the equalizer from a well taken corner in the 88th minute.

Players of Cynosure Fc were determined to get a win but their efforts did not yield any more goals.

Cynosure Fc rounded up their preseason games unbeaten in 19 matches and are now waiting to kick start competitive games in Federations Cup and the National League One (NLO).
