Fatai Amoo aims for another three points in Ibadan

Fatai Amoo's side will aim to mastermind a victory against their guests- Niger Tornadoes of Minna this Sunday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

Week 18 of the NPFL beckons on the 9th of April with game commencing at 4pm.

Shooting Stars have somewhat gotten over the pockets of home draws recorded recently and will most importantly be snapping out of their defeat from the Week 17 match in Uyo against Akwa United.

The team will have a full compliments of their players for selection and this is a good omen for the technical crew. Coach Amoo in a brief chat with www.3sc.com.ng on Friday reiterated that "we are having a full pool of the players fully fit and ready for selection; this is an interesting time for the technical crew, hopefully this will translate into victory in our next match".

Lately, the Ikon Allah boys from Minna havebeen using the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja as a makeshift home ground since last season, which they have turned to a fortress, but the game in Ibadan this weekend will put a test to their good sitting on the league table and perhaps a continental ambition. Veteran Goalkeeper Mustapha Aliko leads the team and will be facing a stern test from the youthful Shooting Stars forward line.

However,Shooting Stars will be moving to 22 points if they can get victory from this match to further boost their position on the league table.  The outcome of the match is really a priority to the players and Sunday Faleye wouldn't miss the opportunity to appeal to the fans while chatting to us at the end of the training session on Friday. "Fans should come out and offer their usual support for the team on Sunday. The whole team is apologizing for the recent goal drought at home and we will make amends starting with the Niger Tornadoes game".

Statistically, Niger Tornadoes sits on the 4th position on the log with 27 points from 17 games while Shooting is occupying the 15th position with 19 points from 17 games.

Similar fixtures last season saw Tornadoes beating Shooting by two goals to one at Lokoja while 3SC won emphatically in Ibadan by three goals to nothing.

The stage is set for an interesting match and the team is also ready for a victory come Sunday.
