Ibrahim Ishaku Was Good As Matt Clatternberg - Medrano


Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) outfit Sunshine Stars energetic midfielder Tamen Medrano has rated Ibrahim Ishaku as Matt Clatternberg following the refeere show of class in their home game against Wikki Tourists of Bauchi in match day six of the top flight league in Nigeria.


The Kogi State born refeere Ishaku was named as the NPFL  refeere of the Week by the League Management Company (LMC) after his scintillating performance in Akure.


Cameroonian import, Tamen Medrano has revealed in a chat that Ibrahim was as good as England top refeere Clatternberg thereby placing him in a class of the world famous refeere.


"Ibrahim Ishaku was just as good as Matt Clatternberg last week Sunday when handling our game against Wikki Tourists, his decisions on the pitch were on point and his overall performance was just exceptional" the powerful midfield player enthused.


Medrano also talked about this weekend tie against NPFL table toppers Heartland FC in match day seven of the apex league with high level confidence as he remain optimistic ahead of the clash in Owerri at the Dan Anyim Stadium.


"The preparation towards this game will definitely yield a dividend at the end of the day, yes I agree that Heartland has a compact squad same as our team, it's going to a difficult game although no match is the same, in football all is possible" he said.



Tamen Madrano is yet to miss a game for the Akure Gunners this season, he's expected to be in action for the Akinboboye tutored side on Sunday.



Sunshine Stars have raked in 10 points  from maximum of 18 in the six-week old Nigerian Premier League.
