Success Makanjuola thrilled with U20 first win in Morocco
Nigerian Under 20 tricky winger Success Makanjuola is excited after his team recorded their first victory in the ongoing African Games against South Africa in Morocco.
The Flying Eagles of Nigeria claimed their first ever success in the 12th edition of African Games after playing out a 1-1 draw against Burkina Faso in their first group game.
Nigeria scored the first goal of the match after 27th minute courtesy of Collins Sor's strike. South Africa drew level after 11 minutes of action in the second half through Ofentse Mashiane.
Paul Aigbogun made double changes 10 minutes after the young Bafana Bafana level terms as he introduced Makanjuola and Emeka Chinonso for Sor and Saeed Jibril.
Ghali Ahmad regained the lead for Nigeria in the 77th minute after connecting an assist from Ibrahim Abubakar to give Flying Eagles their first ever victory in Morocco.
Success who expressed his excitement to nigeriaspotsarena.blogspot after the 2-1 triumph says the team deserved to win the game.
"I'm really excited with this victory over South Africa. We really worked hard for it and I think we deserve it.
"We have to keep this momentum and build on it as we continue to fight hard to the end of the tournament," he said.
Nigeria will play their last Group B match on Friday against host nation Morocco at the Stade Moulay Hassan, Rabat.
