African Games: Makanjuola leads Paul Aigbogun's squad to Morroco

Nigerian Under 20 coach Paul Aigbogun has reportedly  released his 18-man list for the next edition of the Men’s African Games Football Tourney in Morocco with Success Makanjuola leading the squad.


The 18-man list that will be flying the Nigerian flag in the Men's Football event during the 12th edition of African Games in Morroco was announced today (Saturday) by Flying Eagles Media Officer, Andrew Randa.

Makanjuola who has been exceptional in training sessions in the camp of the Flying Eagles in Abuja will be leading the team to Morroco after his commendable exploit in Poland during the FIFA Under 20 World Cup.

The Nigerian team are drawn in Group A alongside host nation, Morroco, Burkina Faso and South Africa.

They will face Burkina Faso in their first match of the Championship which starts in two weeks time(August 16) at the Stade Moulah Hassan, Rabat.

FIFA Hit Banik Ostrava With Transfer Ban Over 36 Lion's Outstanding Transfer Fees

FIFA have sent the Czech Football Association a letter in which they slammed a transfer ban on Banik Ostrava as a result of outstanding dues to 36 Lion Football Club. The ban will only be lifted when Banik pay the outstanding dues they owe the Lagos based club for the transfer of Tijani Muhamed on 1st July 2023. The letter received didn’t specify the number of transfer windows that Banik will be banned from, but only clarified that it is due to the former Flying Eagles striker deal with the Czech Republic top flight team. Muhamed, 23, is a product of 36 Lion. He joined Slavia Praha from Banik during last summer's transfer window for €1.26m according to Transfermkt.com.
