Sports Philanthropist Boost Kogi United with Branded Kits

A passionate sports philanthropist, Honorable Ahmed Ahmed has identified with the leading Nigeria National League, NNL side, Kogi United with a donation of Match Jerseys to further motivates the players of the team.


At a presentation of the kits to the players and officials of the club in Lokoja on Friday, Honorable Ahmed who noted that the donation was borne out of his passion for sports and adding values to his state clubs.


Hail from Ankpa, Kogi State, Honorable Ahmed who based in oil rich Port Harcourt, Rivers State said "I have passion for football and its growing by the day, where I based in Port Harcourt, I've been doing this for clubs over there so I think I should take it down to my home state and contribute to the tremendous development of football by the present administration," the Player's agent begins.


"I've been following up the progress of Kogi United, and of course the girls (Confluence Queens) and I want to say that sky will be their starting points with they've been doing, this is also to encourage them to do well and of course to show that it's not only government that will be supporting them, individual and other organizations can and will definitely come in to support the club, so I urge them to keep up the good work and pray for their success," Ahmed concluded.


Reacting, Chairman of the state owned clubs, Mallam Abdul Sule commended Hon. Ahmed for the timely gesture adding that it would further boost the morale of the club.


He added that the management of the Confluence State clubs would continue to improve on the welfare status of the state clubs which would boost their morales to achieve greatness in their campaigns.


"This is quite commendable, and we are very happy to have this from Honorable Ahmed, his passion for football has been wonderful, he's always been dealing with the game and we are happy to have him identifying with us and we will make good use of these kits, we will continue to improve on the welfare and appearance status of both team as we believe these kind of gestures will again make them do better," Abdul said.


This is the first time an individual or organization will be making such gesture to Kogi State owned clubs and Mallam Sule used the medium to call on other well meaning sons and daughters of the state who have passion for the game to emulate Honorable Ahmed.
