The environment at the Rojenny Stadium in Oba was throw into a moody area as Kwara United defied all odd to snacth their first three points on the road in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) when they defeated Ifeanyi Ubah FC by 2 goals to 1.

Coming into the game from a draw in Lafia, the John Obuh led team started the game on a bright note as the got into the lead when Okereke Maduabuchi goal in the 8th minute of the game send the stadium agog thinking the woes of their visitor will continue.

But immediately from the restart the resurgency came alive from the Harmony Boys and it was as if they meant business which paid up in the 26th mins after Bobga Sambo headed home from a rebound kick after Chidiebere Eze in goal had wrongly misjudged the corner kick to put smiles on the bench of Kwara united.

With the two team pushing hard to get back into the lead  after 30 minutes of play, Dare Ojo set up Ismaila Gata with a pass, Gata who was clearly onside ran onto the ball to lob over rushing goalkeeper Chidiebere Eze who was in no man`s land before the ball dropped into the empty net to push Kwara United to the lead into the break.

On resuming into the second half, all effort for the Anambra Warriors to get a goal was thwarted as the solid defense of the Harmony Boys looked to be unbreakable even with Chibuzor Okonkwo hitting his free kick straight to the awaiting hand of the goal keeper who also really gave his best to snatch the maximum point.

Speaking after the game, Coach Tunde Sanni gave thanks to God for the victory and despite that nobody expected them to get something away from this game, they are coming back stronger and with God on their side, they will push on.
