Nigerian Coaches as Dull as Pigs - Wale Mustapha

What is this brainless way of thinking and reasoning among coaches of various sports in Nigeria?

They will have it rosy and celebrate their appointments only to come up with some useless and baseless talk about revealing what went wrong during their stay.

I'm always surprised at their usual saying of "I Will Reveal Everything Soon" whenever they were sacked or asked to "step aside".

My worry is they will never reveal anything at the end and it will die inside them like words die inside Pigs (that's my Yoruba believe).

We have, in the past, had countless number of coaches telling us they will reveal, disclose, unleash, unravel and expose all that went wrong during their time in charge, but at the end what do we have, NOTHING.

I remember Shuaibu Amodu said he will vomit everything that happened during his time as Super Eagles' coach before he was sacked or removed.

Baba Adegboye Onigbinde said the same thing after 2002 World Cup. Retired Colonel Sam Ahmedu did the same when he was asked to leave the D' Tigers, we are still waiting for what Innocent Egbunigbe wants to say about AFN. Henry Nwosu have a lot to say about his removal as Gateway FC coach. For the record three times, Erasmus Onuh has been telling us he will talk after his sacking (as ABS and Heartland Coach) but what do we have plus many more.

The latest is immediate former Super Falcons' Coach, Edwin Okon. He's also telling us he has a lot to say. I'm sure he must. That protruding object in front of him must be full of something.
But it will be very painful if he joined others that have turned PIGs.

My worry is, will they be killed or castrated if they throw in the towel, handkerchief or he whole clothes ?

Is their lives attached to that job ?

My friend Kuti Dare Gattuso say there's nothing like "Resignation" in Nigeria's coaches/administrator's dictionary. Is this true please ?

There is time for new thing to begin. They should always do the needful as at when due. Resign your appointment if the environment is no longer conducive for you. And then tell the world what happened quickly rather than fixing a date that will never come for the special unveiling of what you want to say.

Administrators or Management in charge should also assist these helpless employees by making things easy for them.

The media should also assist in publishing such stories. If a coach tells us they will talk about what happened at a later date, we should tell them to go and sleep and to come back when they wake up and ready to talk.
