FIFA U20 Word Cup: Makanjuola gets starting shirt in make or mar game against Ukraine

Water FC gifted winger Success Makanjuola will start against Ukraine this evening in Poland, reports nigeriasportsarena.blogspot.com.



The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will face Ukraine in the final game of Group D of the ongoing FIFA U20 tournament later tonight at the Stadion Miejski Bielsko-Biała.


Having won a game and lost the last against USA, the Nigerian team must beat Ukraine to move to the knockout stage of the FIFA U20 World Cup hence the team gaffer, Paul Aigbogun has decided to hand a starting shirt to one of the promising talents in the Flying Eagles team.


According to reports from the Nigerian U20 camp in Poland, Makanjuola has been in impressive form in training scoring two free kicks with brilliant performance.


This will be the first start for the left footed player who has had 35 minutes of action in Poland as a substitute in two games for Nigeria.

FIFA Hit Banik Ostrava With Transfer Ban Over 36 Lion's Outstanding Transfer Fees

FIFA have sent the Czech Football Association a letter in which they slammed a transfer ban on Banik Ostrava as a result of outstanding dues to 36 Lion Football Club. The ban will only be lifted when Banik pay the outstanding dues they owe the Lagos based club for the transfer of Tijani Muhamed on 1st July 2023. The letter received didn’t specify the number of transfer windows that Banik will be banned from, but only clarified that it is due to the former Flying Eagles striker deal with the Czech Republic top flight team. Muhamed, 23, is a product of 36 Lion. He joined Slavia Praha from Banik during last summer's transfer window for €1.26m according to Transfermkt.com.
