FIFA U20: I am ready for the journey of Gold - Makanjuola

Nigerian Under 20 forward Success Makanjuola says he is ready for the journey to greatness ahead of the 2019 FIFA Under-20 World Cup starting today in Poland, reports nigeriasportsarena.blogspot.com

Makanjuola has been tipped by pundits to excel in Poland after various reports of his impressive performances during the team’s camping in Germany where he emerged Man Of The Match against Austrian Bundesliga II side Red Bull Salzburg in a test game which ended 1-1.

The competition which kicks off today and ends on June 16 will see the Flying Eagles of Nigeria take on Qatar to kick start their quest for honour.

The gifted left-winger disclosed that self-determination, discipline, focus and prayer will go a long way in helping the team to a successful outing in Poland.

“I am ready for the journey of gold and by the grace of God and self-determination, focus, discipline, prayers, diligence and fans’ support we will make it happen.”

Success also spoke about his readiness ahead of the World Cup and expressed his gratitude to the technical crew of the team led by Paul Aigbogun.

“Already, the Flying Eagles’ coaching crew has built my confidence in the team and I am very grateful for that. I am ready to play with my team mates and we are all ready to give our best in every game we play.”

The Flying Eagles are placed in Group D alongside U.S., Qatar and Ukraine. A win for them tomorrow against Qatar will boast their confidence going forward.
