We are ready for AFCON, says Taiwo Awoniyi

The Union Berlin striker Taiwo Awoniyi has assured Nigerian fans his readiness to help his team win the AFCON in Cameroon.


The in-form striker who has seven goals in nine appearance so far this season for his new found club confirm to Abdul Momoh Yesterday evening that the team is excited and the spirit is high in camp to go and conquer Africa once again.


"We are all exited and determined with all our focus on the target to conquer Africa once again."


The Kwara State born striker also asuured his teeming fans back home and abroad to keep faith in the squad as everyone in the team we give 130% to make sure Nigeria see the light of the day in Cameroon.


"We are ready for AFCON and we will give our all to make the fans happy back home and abroad."


The Federal Government hosted the Super Eagles players and Coaching Crew on Tuesday night and at the Hilton Hotel in Abuja  just to wish the team well and give them the maximum support expected from the government.


The team will  will train by 9am and will depart Nigeria  tonight for Cameroon for the biggest event in Africa AFCON 2021.

FIFA Hit Banik Ostrava With Transfer Ban Over 36 Lion's Outstanding Transfer Fees

FIFA have sent the Czech Football Association a letter in which they slammed a transfer ban on Banik Ostrava as a result of outstanding dues to 36 Lion Football Club. The ban will only be lifted when Banik pay the outstanding dues they owe the Lagos based club for the transfer of Tijani Muhamed on 1st July 2023. The letter received didn’t specify the number of transfer windows that Banik will be banned from, but only clarified that it is due to the former Flying Eagles striker deal with the Czech Republic top flight team. Muhamed, 23, is a product of 36 Lion. He joined Slavia Praha from Banik during last summer's transfer window for €1.26m according to Transfermkt.com.
