Nimrod bids Nigeria journalists covering AFCON 2021 farewell
The President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod has charged journalists covering the 2021 African Football Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon to promote the country's football team.
Nimrod gave the charge to journalists on Nigeria Sports Mouthpiece (NSM Reloaded) on Sunday.
The Chairman of Kaduna State Beach Soccer advised journalists traveling via water to use their life jacket while playing River River Benue through Yola.
"I am wishing journalists planning to travel to Cameroon all the best. You are the light of the country and everyone will be expecting information from you. The Super Eagles is our project and a win for them will positively affect other sports.
"You must use your life jacket while on the boat. Do not assume River Benue is not turbulent therefore no need. In River Navigation is a requirement.
"Journalists coming from Southern Nigeria should not worry, Yola to Garou is safe by boat. There are no kidnappers and Boko Haram in that axis; Adamawa is safe.
He urged female journalists covering Africa biggest football competition not to be intimidated by their male counterparts.
