FAKA League Week 3: United Aspirant, Leo, Sharp Striker Remain Unbeaten

United Aspirant extended their winning streak to 3 as they trashed Barcher on Saturday as Sharp Striker Fc played a 1-1 draw against Lakeside in Gbagada. And Leo Academy of Ikorodu where held to a barren draw at home by Shereef as both teams maintain their unbeaten start to the 2014 FA U15 Kiddies Amateur league.

In other results Bora and Shobande played out a goaless draw while Fortune Academy of Oshodi defeated Igbado United 1-0. Real FC won their 2nd straight game of the season with a 3-0 bashing of Starlite Academy and Ablaze Fc also recorded the same scoreline against Pepsi Football Academy.

The FA Kiddies Amateur League is a grassroot, “catch them young” Coperate Social Responsibility (CSR) development programme put together by eminent Sport writers in Lagos in memory of a late colleague aimed at creating a competitive atmosphere for talented young kids to display, improve and develop their skills with the hope of transforming into future Nigerian stars.

Mahanaim FC Lockdown Green Lock FC In Abuja

Mahanaim FC kicked-off year 2025 with a victory over Greenlock FC on Saturday, at the Bwari Township Stadium. Goals from Aliyu Imran and Nambou Roman were enough to secure victory for the boys in our first match of the year. Both teams hadn't met since 2023 when we cruised to a 2-nil win over them. That result set the tone for our match on Saturday, with our opponents hoping to get one over us this time. Our Coaches, Saheed Jimoh and Jackson Mbuk had set up a line up which had a blend of young players and the experienced ones, including Haruna Abdullahi, who also got a goal the last time we played GreenLock. Director General of the National Sports Commission, NSC , Hon Bukola Olopade has expressed excitement over potential collaboration between the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC Limited and the Sports Commission. The DG stated this after a fruitful strategic meeting held in his office when the newly appointed Chairman of the NNPC Limited, Eng Musa Kida paid him a working visit on Tuesday.
