Omoyele scores first league goal in second start in Egypt


Nigerian forward, Tosin Omoyele scored his first league goal on Tuesday for his Egyptian Premier League side, Nogoom FC in their 2-1 loss to Wadi Degla in his second start of the ongoing season on Tuesday at the Petro Stadium.

The hosts took the lead in the 21st minute of the exchange via an own goal from Abdel Fattah and scored the second goal after 20 minutes of play in the second half of the lively encounter.

With less than three minutes to end the match, Omoyele scored his first goal in the Egyptian top league for Nog with a fantastic header. Game ended 2-1.

“Sometimes as a striker when you scored you wish your goals will lift your team but this doesn't happen all the time.

“So I finally scored my first league goal in the Egyptian Premier League after my second start but we lost 2-1 to Wadi Degla. Better days ahead,” he tweeted on his official Twitter account @AbrahamAlabi3.

Nogoom are 17th on the Egyptian Premier League log with 21 points from 24 matches. They will be up against Haras El Hodood on Saturday, 2nd of March.
