NPFL: Henry Abiodun Commends Match Officials Despite Loosing To Enugu Rangers Enugu



Rangers international continued their impressive run of wins as they held on to their one goal win over Sunshine stars of Akure in the Nmandi Azikwe stadium in Enugu.



The Flying Antelopes who have gradually be finding the winning formula shows the play of balanced as the two team exchange tackles and shots with Rasaq Adegbite shot save by Sunshine Stars goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Tunde Adeniji also testing Itodo Akor in goal for Rangers Intl.



The Stadium went agog when Alex Emenike long range shot hit under the net from a defensive corner to put the home side ahead in the 15mins of the game.




Situation got bad for the Akure gunners as Olowo Emmanuel pick up an injury and his substitute also Oghene Elijah also pick up a knee injury making it to be difficult for the Kennedy boboye led team and ended the first half one nil in favour of Rangers.




On resuming into second half, it was so much action packed as Sunshine Stars came in search of the equalizing goal and Rangers intl did all in hardwork created chances upfront with Bobby blasting over the bar with just the goalkeeper to beat after a job weldone from Rasaq Adegbite.



Speaking after the game, Head Coach of the home side, Imama Amakamapo gave thanks to God for the victory and also declare that Sunshine Stars gave their best and his friend and former assistance Kennedy Boboye who is the head coach of Sunshine Stars he learnt one or two things which he displayed on the team.


While the technical adviser of Sunshine Stars Henry Abiodun came out to applauded the match officials for a good job and also opined for better work in their next game.Henry began" The refeere was fantastic.


This is the kind of refeere we want in Nigeria."They are human beings they may not be 100 percent but I tell you this is the kind of officiating that Nigerians wants to see," he revealed in an interview to newsmen.


Enugu Rangers now have 20 points in 14 games will host Kano Pillars in their next game while Sunshine Stars 26points from 14 games will play host to Akwa United in Akure.
