Ibrahim Shuaibu bags brace in Norwegian Cup

Former Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Giwa Football Club of Jos Striker, Ibrahim Shuaibu began his exploit yesterday in Europe after scoring twice against Stord for FK Haugesund in the first round of the Norwegian Cup. FK Haugesund trashed Stord Football Club 8-1 away from home with the likes of Super Eagles defender, Troost-Ekong, Derrick Mensah scoring a goal each while Kwame Kwarikwari and Ibrahim netted two goal before Masds Graheim completed the route following an own goal. Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club of Lagos suffered their first defeat in four Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matches on Sunday against Warri Wolves Football club of Warri in Delta State. It was a bad day in the office for the Olukoya Boys at the Warri City Stadium despite dominating the game in the first five minutes. MFM fc got a free kick three minutes into the encounter, it was taken by Ifeanyi Ifeanyi, but Warri Wolves goalkeeper, Rhogbere Tejiri pushed the ball away for a corner kick. Warri Wolves only shot at goal in the first half came in the 10th minute of the match after a fine build up play as John Odumegwu effort hit the cross bar. The Olukoya Boys gave the hosts some moment to worry about following a well taken free kick by former under 20 midfielder, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi ,his shot was parried by Tejiri. Ghanaian striker, Majeed tips Mbia for success in China

Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Warris has tipped former team mate Stephanie Etoundi Mbia for success in the Chinese Super League with his side Hebei China Fortune FC, Nigeriasportarena can report. The Cameroonian captain switched his allegiance to the Chinese outfit during the January transfer window for a fee believed to be around $4.4 million from Turkish giant Trabzonspor after an impressive performance in the Turkish Super League. NNL Clubs Get Club Owners Association

Clubs in the Nigeria National League, NNL have announced a five-man interim executives that will pilot the affairs of a newly formed association called Nigeria National League Club Owners and Managers Association (NALCOMA) with the aim of proffering improvement and better ideas of running the clubs ahead of the forthcoming season. At the meeting held on Tuesday at the National Centre for Women Development in Nigeria, Abuja, the club chairmen and managers unanimously elected Chairman of Kogi United FC, Abdul Sule as the chairman. Other members of the five man board include Emmanuel Ibah from Akwa Starlets as Vice Chairman, Emmanuel Zira (Adamawa United) as the Head of Media and Publicity, Kabiru Haliru Mazado (Shekarau Babes ) as the Treasurer while Mr Layi Adesiyan (Crown FC) will serve as the General Secretary of the association. MFM suffers first league defeat in Ibadan

Mountain of Fire Miracles Ministries Football Club of Lagos sufferd their first Nigeria Professional Football League defeat in the hands of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan at the Adamasingba Stadium courtesy of  a hat-trick by Jimoh Wasiu. Having won their first two NPFL matches, MFM failed to replicate their last away form that saw them defeating CAF Confederation Cup campaigners, Nasarawa United 2-1 in Makurdi. Wasiu Jimoh got the first goal for Shooting Stars in the 4th minute of the encounter after a howler by MFM goalkeeper, James Aiyeyemi. Jimoh doubled the lead for 3SC on the stroke of 19 minute. MFM put themselves together shortly after the second goal, they dictated the pace of the game, their dominance was short lived as the former Under 20 attacking midfielder, Jimoh scored the third goal of the game in the 36 minutes of play. Oshoala Flags Off Pre-season Tourney

The maiden edition of the Asisat Oshoala Women's Pre Season Football Tournament will get underway on Tuesday 23rd February at the Bishop Aggey Football Pitch in Mushin. FC Robo, COD United Ladies, Royal Toms Ladies, Kadesh Ladies, FC Phoenix Ladies and Tokas Queens will participate in the event designed to put teams in shape ahead of the 2015/16 league season. According to the financier of the competition, Asisat Oshoala, the main objective of the event is to give back to the public and also encourage girls to take their football careers to the next level. "It gives me joy to have initiated this tournament in order to give back to where I started from," the Liverpool Ladies forward said.
