LMC Lift Ban On Six Suspended Stadiums

Six clubs whose grounds were decertified from hosting Glo Premier League matches have been granted provisional approval by the League Management Company (LMC) to return to their grounds while further inspection would be carried out to ascertain the appropriateness of repairs done. In a circular to the Clubs, the LMC listed the clubs that have been granted provisional approval to return to their home grounds as Giwa FC (Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos), Nasarawa United, (Lafiya Township Stadium), FC Taraba (Jolly Nyame Stadium, Jalingo), Heartland (Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri), FC IfeanyiUbah (Gabros Stadium, Nnewi) and Abia Warriors (Umuahia Township Stadium). The clubs had their grounds decertified from Match Day11 after they were inspected and adjudged not fit to host Glo Premier League matches. Technical Adviser of Nigeria Women Premier League side, Confluence Queens FC, Musa Baba-Anini Amorley was left disappointed following his side's home draw against Delta Queens in the NWPL Week Nine encounter on Wednesday in Lokoja. Chinwendu Ihezou put the away team in front in the 29th minute after a well taken free-kick by Uju Okafor. Chairman of Confluence Queens FC, Mallam Abdul Sule has praised his girls for their come back victory over Bayelsa Queens in their Week Eight of Nigeria Women Premier League clash in Lokoja. The away side took a shocking lead in the 4th minutes through Charity Ifenkoh's free-kick that beat helpless goalkeeper Oluwaseun Bello. Confluence Queens however pegged back with a classic finish from striker Lola Philips in the 20th minutes of play. Midfielder Ameachi Ojini makes another quick impact in the 22nd minutes to put Confluence Queens in front as she slammed in a shot from close range. NNL: Kogi United Stuns Kaduna United 4-1 In Lokoja

Kogi United kick started their restart to the Nigeria National League, NNL season in a resounding fashion as they tore apart Kaduna United with a 4-1 victory on Saturday.  A brace from Mayaki Ismail and goal each from John Jerome and Kingsley Iwuji coupled with a cheerful performance ensured that the Wada Boys have got their confidence back.  The encounter that witnessed close to a full capacity crown at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja was the Coach Fatai Osho's acid test in his return to dugout for Kogi United and he commended his boys for giving him and the fans a wonderful performance with a reliving victory over Kaduna United. Bussdor Football Club of Owerri, chances of remaining in the Nigeria National League suffered a major blow when they lost 1-0 to Prime Football Club on Saturday, a result that leaves them at the bottom of the table log.  The Owerri side started the Nigeria National League Week 8 tie strongly and managed to win a couple of possession in the early minutes of the game, but poor shooting on the part of the forwards did not help their course. The Omoluabi Giants step into the game with Abdullah Fatai, Hakeem Olalere and wonderkid, Kehinde Adebayo, exerted their presence in the game and took control of proceedings.
