SofaScore Partners Optima Energy Gold Cup As Technical Partner

The Optima Energy Gold Cup has announced SofaScore as its official technical partner for its pre-season football tournament for the next three (3) years.

Sofascore, owned and developed by Croatia based tech company SofaIT will collect and analyse match data to the millions of global users of the Sofascore app, of teams and players taking part in the 2024 edition of the nation's sought-after off-season football tournament. 

Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, and FC Ebedei Stadium in Sagamu are billed to host the Optima Energy Gold Cup from August 15th to 24th.


"The Optima Energy Gold Cup is thrilled to join forces with SofaScore, as they are considered among the leading statistical analysts in football, bringing to fans the most comprehensive and insightful football analysis available," said Tunde Shamsudeen, the tournament General Coordinator.

FIFA have sent the Czech Football Association a letter in which they slammed a transfer ban on Banik Ostrava as a result of outstanding dues to 36 Lion Football Club. The ban will only be lifted when Banik pay the outstanding dues they owe the Lagos based club for the transfer of Tijani Muhamed on 1st July 2023. Abdulrahaman Replaces Adesanya As Nigeria National League COO

    The Nigeria Football Federation has deployed Dr. Ayo Hameed Abdulrahaman to the Nigeria National League as the chief operating officer, to take over from Mr. Emmanuel Adesanya who has retired from the Federal Civil Service after attaining the age of 60 years.   Abdulrahaman, who holds a doctorate degree in physical and health education, has robust sphere and institutional experience in football organization and administration. He is a deputy director in the Federal Civil Service.   Before his deployment, Dr. Abdulrahaman worked as deputy director in the NFF Competitions Department. He had also worked for many years previously as chief operating officer of the NNL, and also in the same capacity in the Nigeria Women Football League.
