Itel Partners Optima Energy Gold Cup

Leading consumer electronics brand, itel, has partnered with the 12th edition of the Optima Energy Gold Cup Pre-season Tournament with the Player of the Match award. 


Defending champions, Beyond Limits, will battle nine other football clubs drawn for the Nigeria three-tiers division leagues- Nigeria Premier Football League, Nigeria National League, Nationwide League One and a visiting team from West Africa. 


The Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, and FC Ebedei Stadium in Sagamu will host the sought-after pre-season tourney from Thursday, August 15th to Saturday 24th, 2024.

FIFA have sent the Czech Football Association a letter in which they slammed a transfer ban on Banik Ostrava as a result of outstanding dues to 36 Lion Football Club. The ban will only be lifted when Banik pay the outstanding dues they owe the Lagos based club for the transfer of Tijani Muhamed on 1st July 2023. The letter received didn’t specify the number of transfer windows that Banik will be banned from, but only clarified that it is due to the former Flying Eagles striker deal with the Czech Republic top flight team. Muhamed, 23, is a product of 36 Lion. He joined Slavia Praha from Banik during last summer's transfer window for €1.26m according to Transfermkt.com. Abdulrahaman Replaces Adesanya As Nigeria National League COO

    The Nigeria Football Federation has deployed Dr. Ayo Hameed Abdulrahaman to the Nigeria National League as the chief operating officer, to take over from Mr. Emmanuel Adesanya who has retired from the Federal Civil Service after attaining the age of 60 years.   Abdulrahaman, who holds a doctorate degree in physical and health education, has robust sphere and institutional experience in football organization and administration. He is a deputy director in the Federal Civil Service.   Before his deployment, Dr. Abdulrahaman worked as deputy director in the NFF Competitions Department. He had also worked for many years previously as chief operating officer of the NNL, and also in the same capacity in the Nigeria Women Football League.
