2022 WORLD CUP RACE: Orji Kalu Hails Super Eagles’ Victory Against Blue Sharks Of Cape Verde

Former Governor of Abia State and Pillar of Sports in Africa, Dr Orji Kalu has applauded the Super Eagles for their victory against Blue Sharks of Cape Verde in the FIFA 2022 World Cup qualifying fixture.

Describing the victory as well-deserved and timely, the Senate Chief Whip stressed that the national team demonstrated football expertise during the match.

Kalu, who commended the players for their good performance, added the Super Eagles team is waxing strong.

He said, "the victory of Super Eagles of Nigeria against the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde is a good development.

" The players and officials of the Super Eagles demonstrated expertise and experience in the world of soccer.

"I salute the national team for making Nigeria proud" .

The former Governor wished the Super Eagles continued success in future outings.

FIFA Hit Banik Ostrava With Transfer Ban Over 36 Lion's Outstanding Transfer Fees

FIFA have sent the Czech Football Association a letter in which they slammed a transfer ban on Banik Ostrava as a result of outstanding dues to 36 Lion Football Club. The ban will only be lifted when Banik pay the outstanding dues they owe the Lagos based club for the transfer of Tijani Muhamed on 1st July 2023. The letter received didn’t specify the number of transfer windows that Banik will be banned from, but only clarified that it is due to the former Flying Eagles striker deal with the Czech Republic top flight team. Muhamed, 23, is a product of 36 Lion. He joined Slavia Praha from Banik during last summer's transfer window for €1.26m according to Transfermkt.com.
