Ikorodu Agog As Bolowotan Cup Final Takes Center Stage Tomorrow

Ikorodu is agog ahead of the 13th edition of the foremost grassroots football event in Lagos, Bolowotan Gold Cup, which will take center stage tomorrow, August 15, 2021 at the Police Barracks Sports Field Igbogbo.


After 62 round of games with exciting and thrilling performances from the participating teams, N-Tab and F.A Victory will trade tackles in final of the annual Bolowotan Cup, while Adebax FC will face Greater Height in the third place match same day.


As part of the effort to make this year’s grand finale a memorable and exciting one, the organizers of the grassroots event have concluded plans for a novelty match between Ekofootball Under 15 FCAAN winner, Team Ikorodu DFA and Prince Eletu Queens.


In addition, all the matches will be live streamed on Facebook. Followers of the Bolowotan Gold Cup will have the opportunity to watch the games live @BolowotanFC official Facebook fan page starting from 1pm tomorrow.


The Bolowotan Gold Cup is powered by the Director General of Sports, Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr Oluwatoyin Gafaar.

FIFA Hit Banik Ostrava With Transfer Ban Over 36 Lion's Outstanding Transfer Fees

FIFA have sent the Czech Football Association a letter in which they slammed a transfer ban on Banik Ostrava as a result of outstanding dues to 36 Lion Football Club. The ban will only be lifted when Banik pay the outstanding dues they owe the Lagos based club for the transfer of Tijani Muhamed on 1st July 2023. The letter received didn’t specify the number of transfer windows that Banik will be banned from, but only clarified that it is due to the former Flying Eagles striker deal with the Czech Republic top flight team. Muhamed, 23, is a product of 36 Lion. He joined Slavia Praha from Banik during last summer's transfer window for €1.26m according to Transfermkt.com.
