MMA Will Flourish In Nigeria, Says Ambassador Henry George

The President of Nigeria Mixed Martial Arts Federation (NMMAF) Ambassador Henry George has stated that Sport will thrive in Nigeria.


Barely a week after the Ministry of Youth & Sports Development, announced the birth of the Mixed Martial Arts Federation in Nigeria, the President of the Federation in Nigeria, Ambassador George, has assured Nigerians the Sport will flourish.


Ambassador disclosed in an interview session while speaking to Journalists on the rise of the NMMAF and said: “We have all that it takes to make MMA flourish, we amazing athletes, we have good coaches, good officials, referees and all that. 


“We have the audience who are ready to give the support. One of the things that the sport to be interesting or popular is the number of followership, the people following the sport.


“So we have huge followership here in Nigeria so there is no doubt it’s going to grow very very fast because MMA is the fastest growing sport in the World,” said the former world champion.


The President of the NMMAF, also appreciated the Ministry Of Youth and Sports for the support so far  adding that it is a big win for Nigeria and African as a continent.

FIFA Hit Banik Ostrava With Transfer Ban Over 36 Lion's Outstanding Transfer Fees

FIFA have sent the Czech Football Association a letter in which they slammed a transfer ban on Banik Ostrava as a result of outstanding dues to 36 Lion Football Club. The ban will only be lifted when Banik pay the outstanding dues they owe the Lagos based club for the transfer of Tijani Muhamed on 1st July 2023. The letter received didn’t specify the number of transfer windows that Banik will be banned from, but only clarified that it is due to the former Flying Eagles striker deal with the Czech Republic top flight team. Muhamed, 23, is a product of 36 Lion. He joined Slavia Praha from Banik during last summer's transfer window for €1.26m according to Transfermkt.com.
