Five MOTM Awards And Still Counting, Alampasu Speaks On New Challenge At Pieta Hotspur In Malta



Having won five Man Of The Match (MOTM) awards in the Maltese Premier League, Nigerian International and Pieta Hotspur goalkeeper, Dele Alampasu, has stated that his new team will end the season in a good position.


Since the 25-year-old joined Maltese topflight side, Pieta Hotspur in July 2022, the former Flying Eagles goalkeeper, has becomes an integral member of the team.


It has not been an easy ride for the Super Eagles goalkeeper, since he arrived at the MFA Centenary Stadium in July, but Dele is optimistic his team will end the season in a good position.


“It’s been a challenging moment for me since I joined my new team, but the good thing is, we are improving day by day and I think that’s a plus for us as a team.


“The Maltese Premier League is somehow competitive and for us a newly promoted team, it is very challenging competing with big teams, but we are getting better and I believe we will finish well at the of the season,” he said.


Alampasu has  been able to win five MOTM awards in Malta and he’s been recognised as one of the top players in the league. He helped Pieta Hotspur to a 1-1 draw in their last league match against Marsaxlokk before the World Cup break.
