Joshua Akpudje Joins Jablonec Of Czech RepublicOn Two Years Deal



Ex-Nigeria Under 23 and MFM FC of Lagos player, Joshua Akpudje has completed a two-year deal with Czech Republic side, FK Jablonec.


After making huge statement in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) with MFM FC, where he was called up to Nigerian U23 team, the Lagos-born defender, left for a two-year deal with Latvia side, BFC Daugavpils.


At BFC Daugavpils, Akpudje featured in 46 games and was so influential for the Latvian team, winning back to back Man of the Match award, while claiming a regular spot in the League’s Team of the Week.



The 24-year-old defender joined Lithuanian side, FK Panevėžys, on a year loan from Daugavpils and featured for the team in the qualifying match of the UEFA European Conference League and also made 22 League appearances for them.


Speaking to the press after his unveiling with FK Jablonec, Akpudje said: "It is the dream of every young player to fight for his future. I am grateful to God for the opportunity to be in Jablonec. 


“Now is the time to start working on a better future," says the 192 cm tall central defender, who has been handed his favorite, jersey number (44).
