Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup: Promise Uwaeme Appointed As LOC Chairman Again

The Adamu Yola Ture Foundation (AYTF) have announced the appointment of Mr. Promise Uwaeme as the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the 7th edition of the annual football competition.


In a statement by the founder of the tournament and a Board Member of the AYTF, Pastor Yakubu Adamu Yola congratulated Mr. Promise citing his passion and track records in organising sports events.


“I am glad to convene the decision of the Foundation to appoint you as the Chairman, Local Organising Committee of the 7th Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup” he stated.


“We have no doubts in your abilities and commitment to deliver a tournament of our dreams, we urge you and your team to bring your A-Game to bear in this year’s event,” he added.


The Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup is an annual football tournament which started seven years ago with the aim of promoting peace and discovering talents in Kaltungo LGA and have grown to cover the entire Gombe South Senatorial District of Gombe.


The Local Organising Committee will be responsible for the organisation of the entire tournament with supervision by the Adamu Yola Ture Foundation.

FIFA Hit Banik Ostrava With Transfer Ban Over 36 Lion's Outstanding Transfer Fees

FIFA have sent the Czech Football Association a letter in which they slammed a transfer ban on Banik Ostrava as a result of outstanding dues to 36 Lion Football Club. The ban will only be lifted when Banik pay the outstanding dues they owe the Lagos based club for the transfer of Tijani Muhamed on 1st July 2023. The letter received didn’t specify the number of transfer windows that Banik will be banned from, but only clarified that it is due to the former Flying Eagles striker deal with the Czech Republic top flight team. Muhamed, 23, is a product of 36 Lion. He joined Slavia Praha from Banik during last summer's transfer window for €1.26m according to Transfermkt.com.
