Adewale Ajayi vows to take 36 Lion to greater heights

Following his appointment as the Global media consultant and brand ambassador of a lower division side in Nigeria, West Africa, renowned broadcast journalist and Sports Marketer, Adewale Ajayi has began work in ernest.

Speaking with GSP in Ottawa, Canada, the New Brunswick based Nigerian-Canadian revealed that his first priority would be to build credibility around the brand, 36 Lions.

My biggest challenge will be how to make the world recognize and accept 36 Lions FC, a club that is in the amateur league.

Ajayi who is already Galvanizing his contacts in North America, added that there was need to put forward a Nigeria brand of Footbal culture – A task he intends to achieve with 36 Lions Football club.

“As you know, the international committee don’t have full confidence in Nigeria players especially those playing in the local league. I will really need to help change that notion and repackage the brand before selling them to the world. It won’t be easy but it is achievable”

The former Press officer of the Nigeria U20 National team added that the North America market is largely untapped stressing that 36 lions penetration of the market would open frontiers to other clubs in Africa.

Recently two Lions Ade Oguns and Samson Akinyoola, joined Caracas FC of Venezuela. These deals, have further entrenched the brand as one of Nigeria’s most vibrant and most successful in the transfer market in recent years
