Femodino FC are Ogunjobi Cup Champions 

Femodino Football Club of Ilesha, on Sunday won the maiden edition of Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi Cup played at Methodist High School, Ilesha. 

The tournament which took place among grassroots teams in Ilesha was hailed by many as one of the best so far in Ijeshaland.

A lot of emphasis were on the quality of football played by the teams and the level of competitiveness that came along with it. 

Femodino beat Ijesha Golden Warriors FC 2-0 to win the trophy and silenced Warriors in a pulsating finals to emerge winners. 

Migty Jet defeated Lekan Salam Eagle 5-3 on penalties after the regulation time ended goalless.

Among the dignitaries that graced the finals includes; the President General of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Dr. Rafiu Ladipo, Leader Osun House of Assembly, Honourable Timothy Owoeye, Acting General Manager Osun Sports Council, Mrs. Oluokun, former chairman Lagos State House Committee on Sports, Honourable Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni, Alhaji Issah Azeez, former GM Osun Sports Council, Akin Adio, Chairman Osun Football Coaches , Muda Yusuf, and all Osun FA board members.

Others include Shooting Stars assistant coach, Edith Agoye, former 3sc gaffer, Coach Babatunde Odubola, Prime goalkeeper trainer, Olatunji Baruwa, Prime captain, Waheed Olapade, and Ajibola Rafiu General among others. 

Dr. Ladipo and Hon. Owoeye praised Ogunjobi for sponsoring the tournament, and promised to attend next year edition. They also advised the youths to combine sports with education and be discipline, so as to emulate Ogunjobi. 

Award of Excellence was presented to Ogunjobi for his role for football development in Ijeshaland, State of Osun and Nigeria by Ijesha Football Council.

Dr. Ladipo was also presented an award for his contributions for the betterment of Nigeria football. Ogunjobi hails from Itakogun Area of Ilesha, and he is giving back to the society that made him.
