Rohr's technical and tactical ineptitude responsible for Nigeria's World Cup exit

By -Adewale Ajayi

The 2018 WRohr is an opportunist who rode on the back of our failure to qualify for back to back Nations cup to steal our hearts and make us see him as the messiah.

We pampered him, cuddled him and made him look like a bride on the alter of our weak hearts but after all his tactical blunders, Rohr has shown that he lacks the following...

1. Game reading ability

2. Good team selection plan

3. Proper planning before a game

4. Players positioning and perfect match analyses from the bench

5. Authority over the players and crew.

Based on the forgoing, he has proved to all of us that he lacks the basis requirements that combines to make a top coach.

We needed José Mourinho to remind him that Mikel is a defensive midfielder not a creative midfielder which to me, is a big letdown to his credentials as National team coach.

If Rohr, after coaching Mikel for close to one year cannot decipher his best position on the field, it tells the story of how bad things are going for our football.

To worsen matters, he came with a certain UK based taxi driver as team scout as we all watched him feed fat on our intelligence and wealth.

Going forward, I suggest that we thank Rohr for all the great memories specially the 4-1 trashing of Cameroon in Uyo which to me was his best individual achievement, then do him a quick send off party before seeing him off to the airport as we say goodbye.

We can live with the memories of his past but cannot endure his presence anymore. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
