Lagos is gearing up to host a landmark event in African boxing history: the inaugural Yucateco World Boxing Council (WBC) amateur boxing championship. The tournament, organized by Yucateco Boxing Promotions in conjunction with Africa’s premier boxing organization, will take place from February 6th to 8th at the Molade Okoya Thomas Indoor Sports Hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium. The championship will feature boxers from eight nations: Kenya, Uganda, Togo, Senegal, Ghana, Mali, Cameroon, and Nigeria.
