PIPU TV NLO: Kuyak Ime's brace powers Ibom Youths FC to first win

Relief came to the camp of Ibom Youths FC of Uyo when their darling team defeated George Turnah FC of Bayelsa  2-0 to pick up their first win of the season in a thrilling encounter of Matchday 5 of the Pipul TV Nationwide League game at the Uyo Township Stadium on Thursday, courtesy of a brace from Kuyak Ime John.

Ibom Youth FC started the game with the full intention to win as they piled pressure on the defense of George Turnah FC , but could not find the early goal despite all the chances they created and on the side of the visitors, they resulted into fast counter attacks which really caused some anxious moments for Ibom Youths FC, but the agility of David Essien in goal for Ibom Youth FC saved the day for the home team.

Meanwhile, Ibom Youth FC did not relent as they continued to pile pressures on the defense of George Turnah FC from the wings where enterprising Kuyak John Ime operated from switching from the right to the left as he tormented the defenders of George Turnah FC, but most of his efforts only resulted in corner kicks and free kicks at the edge of the box, which were all wasted as the first half ended 0-0.

It was George Turnah boys that took the initiatives at the beginning of the second half as they created many goal scoring opportunities , but goal keeper Essien was to the rescue for the Ibom Youths FC.

Unfortunately, it became ugly for George Turnah when one of their defenders slipped while trying to check Kuyak Ime John and he handled the ball inside the box and the Centre Referee never hesitated to point to the spot and the resultant penalty was well taken into the net by Sylvester Ifiok in the 60th minute.

Efforts by the boys from Bayelsia to restore parity all proved abortive, but rather it was Kuyak Ime John that finally nailed the coffin for George Turnah FC when a deflected shot by one the defenders of George Turnah FC came to him inside the box '6' and he volleyed the ball inside the net  in the 76th minutes  to send the fans into great jubilation as Ibom Youths FC sealed their first victory of the season.
